I
have just finished all of my practice sessions for the day.
The last session didn't go to plan as I had a mechanical problem
with the throttle and only completed 4 laps. Despite doing only
4 laps, I was still 12th fastest, Qualifying starts in less
than an hour and I am aiming to be in the top 3. |

Qualifying
went OK. I qualified 5th overall and was quickest in my session.
I expected slightly more to be honest, the tyres never really
'came on' and I didn't quite produce the perfect lap. Also I
went out in the second group, which was slower than the first
group. Nevertheless, I was only 0.1s off the pole and it puts
me in a reasonably good place for the heats. |

That
heat went well. I started 4th and managed to finish 2nd. I obtained
the fastest lap as well. |

I
could have won that heat. I started 3rd and managed to get into
2nd on the first lap but Donegan did a ridiculous lunge in The
Boot on the first lap which compromised both of us. I did him
straight back in anger and put my head down to try and catch
Ben Hingeley who had already built up a 3 second lead. I pushed
right to the limit and caught him, to be compromised again by
back-markers.. These back-markers had opted for wet tyres because
of pre-race rain. I tried really hard on the last lap to get
past Hingeley but he defended very well. I got the fastest lap
again! I should have definitely won!!! |

our way home. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm having a
neck massage tonight, as I damaged my neck during the previous
night. |

Just
left home for the circuit and it's raining. This should make
things exciting. I have a practice session at 10.20. |

was 4 tenths quicker than anyone in the wet practice session!!!.
Now a massive 3 hour break to my first Final. |

SHOOT!!!!!
I was on for my first National win and then was simply and plainly
taken out!! Mitchell and I got a gap at the start, but the front
grip on my kart was inadequate; I was trying everything to keep
up. I took the lead towards the end and held it for five tough
laps, until another kart drove over me, with a lap and a half
to go, which knocked me back to 7th. I am hoping for better
'luck' in the second final and the Tooley Motorsport team have
just heard over the Tannoy, that the drivers involved in the
collision have been called up to the Clerk of the Course's office……
all except me????

If
you'd have told me I would finish the main final in 12th position
yesterday, I think I probably would have said…..that's
bad. My engine cut out on the Formation lap which put me well
back but I managed to fight back. The kart was 'mint' in the
Final and I would like to thank my Dad and Tooley Motorsport. |

I
was the quickest by 2 tenths in the last session and broke the
lap record without assistance from other karts. I have some
serious pace this weekend; my team-mates are also quick this
weekend. So obviously, Tooley Motorsport has really found the
sweet spot. Qualifying should be good! |

My
first pole for 2011. The pace was okay but the pack has closed
the gap, which is slightly worrying. I think new tyres are actually
slower than tyres that are 15 laps old. Even so, it is great
to secure pole at only my second race. |

What
a way to end a fantastic day. I led for most of the race. Hingeley
got past, 2 laps from the end but I 'done him back' on the last
lap. I am the fastest but I just can't break the tow, which
is quite annoying. The lap times were quite slow then, but who
cares….. I won!!! My next heat will be tomorrow morning,
but there is another MiniMax heat later today which I will be
watching. I'll tell you who wins. |

have just finished……..Hickin won it, but was defending
7 laps from the end. Team-mates did quite well, Dan finished
3rd, Leon was 8th with fastest lap. |

Had
a bad night's sleep. Was sick on the way home last night. My
Grandad is not a good driver!!!! LOL |

Just
ran a lap of the track to get my body in action. My fist session
is at 10.00. |

Practice
went quite well, was 3rd fastest, Dan was 2nd. Hingeley was
very quick; he was 0.15 s quicker than Dan and me. I was on
my own for the whole session, just trying to get another reference
of pace in the free air. So 3rd is not too bad. |

Finished
second in my second heat. Was lucky on the last lap as there
was a collision between two karts ahead. Pace was a bit disappointing. |

Once
again I led on the last but one lap and then was taken out by
the same kart!!! That is twice this year that I could have won
a final and I have been taken out to finish 5th or 6th!!! I'm
furious; this is meant to be a non-contact sport! The kart was
fantastic with the stiffer axle, I had the legs on everyone
else….. then that happens. Why? I have just been called
to the Clerk's office. |

The
kart involved in my incident has been put back 4 places for
his involvement in our incident. He will start 11 for the 2nd
Final. Also 2 karts ahead of me were given 4 place penalties
for a different incident. So after all of the penalties, I finished
3rd…….. some sort of justice! |

Have
just finished the 2nd Final in 2nd place. Very good points for
the Championship………. Not out for 7 weeks!!!!!!!!
