In February, I had my first Test Session with an improved Comer Cadet kart. The original kart was used as a back-up. The Test Session took place at Camberley Kart Track, {See link}, close to Blackbushe airport.
Here I am in the assembly area at Blackbushe, waiting to go onto the track.
On 19th February I took my ARKS {Association of Kart Racing Schools} Test at Shenington Kart Racing Club {see link}. I had to take my ARKS Test before I was allowed to race. There is more information about the ARKS test on my links page. I'm seen in the assembly area about to be observed on the track. The number with the Black background indicates that I'm still a Novice.
"I've passed my ARKS Test".
My first success came in March, when I won the Novice Trophy at Blackbushe. At this stage I had been racing for 1 month.
During July, in the assembly area at Shenington; now on a 'Yellow Plate'.
In September, I won my first heat at Blackbushe and came second in the Final. I was the youngest in the race. This news was published in the local newspaper.
My first heat victory!
By the end of 2005, I had finished 6th in the Blackbushe Championship and 11th in the Shenington Championship.
