Shenington Kart Racing Club Awards………..

On Saturday January 31st 2009, I attended the Shenington Kart Racing Club awards night at the 16th century Manor House Hotel. This is situated in the attractive town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds.

After the cocktail reception and buffet, the awards were presented to the competitors in the various formulae. It was a surprise that 'THE STIG' from the BBC programme TOP GEAR presented the trophies………… or was it THE STIG?

One of the attractions at the event was a full size racing car simulator. Drivers could see how fast they could drive around the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit……….. when I eventually left, I was holding the fastest lap time!

I was very pleased to become the Shenington Cadet Champion for 2008.

Above are shown the Shenington Cadet Championship Trophy along with Cadet Championship shield, which I hold for one year. My name will remain on this shield.

All of the Champions and other award winners are seen above in the final photograph of the evening. There are more images in my gallery.
