I'm
at Shenington Kart Racing Club holding the Trophy for finishing
4th in the Championship. This was taken at the first meeting in
January 2007. |
|
On February
10th, I went to the Pine Ridge Golf Centre in Frimley to attend
the annual Awards Ceremony. In the first picture, I'm receiving
the 2006 Cadet Champions Trophy and Shield. |
|
In this
picture, I'm with the other Champions for the various other Formulae. |
|
All
of the various award winners are seen in this picture. |
|
Here
I am with the second and third placed drivers in the Cadet Championship. |

In
September 2007 I attended the prestigious Midland Championship meeting
at Rissington Kart Club in the heart of the Cotswolds. I won all
of my heats and as a result started on Pole for the final. |
|
For
this particular meeting, I didn't race with my usual number 32 but
with number 31. Here I am finishing the final's formation lap with
me on the inside of the front row - the pole position. The race
is just about to start! |
|
The
final was over 10 laps, which I lead from start to finish. Here
I am taking the chequered flag to become Cadet Midlands Champion. |
|
The
top four karts were directed to 'parc ferme' - the area where the
karts are isolated after the race finishes. The karts were weighed
(see my technical information page) and also the fuel was tested
for the correct oil usage. |
|
After
these items were checked and passed, it was a matter for the awards
presentation. Here I am collecting the cup for 1st place in the
final. See the picture in Latest News of the Midlands Championship
Trophy. |
|
This
has the name of the Formula 1 driver, Jenson Button - a past winner
of the Cadet Midland Championship. I hope I follow in the same steps
as Jenson. |
